Having grown bored of my bounty of 1990’s domestic reliability (the Buick Century not included), I’ve been looking at what the Craigslist seller calls a “1986 Nissan Sylvia”. $900 or best offer. 64k miles. CA20E engine. Manual trans. No fenders - rust got them. Chassis is claimed to be solid.
Apparently you can fit a CA18DET cylinder head on it.

Totally uninformed question: is that a Pulsar with some JDM/Stanza/? tail lights on it or something?
Edit: nope, it’s not the Pulsar C-pillar. US spec?
Edit edit: oh, here we go... totally don’t remember these cars in coupe form.

It’s a Nissan 200SX notchback. Sold in Japan as either the Silvia or the Gazelle. It’s the S12 platform, predecessor to the S13 chassis which is fabled in song and dirty late-night industrial loading docks.

yikes bro.
I saw a sweet 80’s Mercury Capri Bubble Back Fox turbo car for only 1700 a week or two ago, that would be a much better buy. And also insane (but the good kind of insane)

Fart can tells me it’s probably been abused.
